Give particular attention to We the People, The Space Program, Ego, and The Donald. I was struggling before this album came out, but, in the end, this album was perfectly timely, fluid, and fascinating. I've been going back and forth on this for weeks. Maybe a blog post about that in the future. Doesn't matter what the politics are, I just really enjoy hip/hop as the medium. What can I say? I'm a sucker for personal, political hip/hop. M83 exudes accessible originality and so does this album. Good use of highs and lows, great continuity, and interesting in a genre that is getting overrun by more of the same. So much so that I will be cutting down on the commentary (don't worry, there will still be some) and posting commentary piecemeal after the awards. Count me in. But once it’s in your head… it’s not getting out. Yeah, we laughed at this song when it first came out, too. The film may have been a washout, but let’s just agree the soundtrack was pretty ace! 2) Jeena Jeena – Badlapur Here’s a shortlist of our favourites from this year – make sure to check it out and let us know whether your picks made the cut! 1) Tu Hai Ki Nahin – Roy Luckily, 2015 didn’t disappoint in this department: we got a lot of great tracks, ranging from those that will make you want to dance to those that’ll make you want to cry. There’s just something about playing that perfect track and using it as the background for all your daydreams. I’m gonna say it: romantic songs – probably more than any other – are my jam.
